Green Laning - Boxing Day 2011

Thanks to all who came along. We had a top day, despite the grim weather, 13 vehicles met at Whitchurch services; 3 Series 1s, my 2a, a Series 3, my dad, Phil's 110", Alun, John & Roy's 90"s, Mick & Mike's Discoverys, a P@&%0 and a N!$$@* P@%#!*^.

The two members of team 'Massive Roof Rack' had to avoid one low lane, Alun's also got tangled up on a few other lanes, while the 110" roof bar jumped for cover when passing a protruding tree trunk. The same lane scuffed one of the S1s rear window trims and claimed Mick's rear 1/4 window. Other than this, and Brian's S1's reluctance to start at a few points, (and a few snorkel mushrooms) we had no problems!!!
Put Boxing Day 2012 in the diary, just remove roof racks (and side windows!) first!!
Check out the Youtube video - some filming issues - Mine were blurred (as Brian chased me in his S1!) & Adam got on/off confused and mostly filmed the floor! Please send any film or pictures you have in to jimv8lr@hotmail.co.uk

Some of the starting line up in Whitchurch.
We split into two groupes to avoid congestion, but caught up with the first group at the first roof rack stop.
John goes into the woods as Adam captures some classic hedge footage.
Roy brought his petrol stereo to play us V8 music all day.
Duck!
Mick's Discovery prior to rear window & snorkel mods.
First FoD Caravan Centre Series 1 climbs the hill.
Second FoD Caravan Centre Series 1 climbs the hill.
Brian's S1.
Nice rack!
Mike checks for owls with specially adjusted roof lamps.
Stopping for sandwiches and Series 1 service.
Convoy!
110" was more streamlined post roof bar removal. Special tree spanner used for awkard bolts.
Series 1 battle scar.
